Mexican Food…..THE DEVIL!!

I am going to blog about my favorite food this week in hopes to help some of you with the same addiction as me!

I LOVE Mexican food but I have no control over those chips….they control me!  Now that I have given up corn, I can say its a little easier to pass on the chips but I do a few things to help…FIRST….I tell them NO Thank you when they bring them to the table and SECOND….I bring my own seeded Crackers, Like Marys Crackers Pictured below, or my own carrots and celery to dip in the salsa. The salsa is great for you but PASS on those chips!!

*Mary’s Crackers can be pricey but Costco does carry them sometimes*




Headed Out??

Whether you are headed out on a road trip or taking a plane somewhere, its always good to be prepared to be stuck somewhere…..Airport, Roadside, On the plane or just somewhere that doesn’t have Clean Foods to choose from. The airlines are starting to carry some snack packs that are gluten free friendly but not available on all flights. The last thing you want to do is eat something that your body isn’t used to when traveling. I know we tend to splurge on vacation but I have learned the hard way and ended up in bed or sick for hours from poor choices when eating out. Restaurants don’t always educate their staff to what wheat, soy, dairy and other foods allergies can do to someone. Better to be safe than sorry and be hanging out with Mr. Porcelain!!
